Minute Man Race

APRIL 28TH, 2024| Westport, CT

The WYWL will host its 45th Minute Man Race on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at Compo Beach.

The main event consists of a certified USA Track and Field 10K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk. The Kids Fun Run includes a 50-yard dash, 100-yard dash, 1/2 mile run, and 1-mile run, featuring a Kids Zone during and after the race. Race net proceeds will directly benefit charities located in lower Fairfield County, CT.

Are Minute Man Race t-shirts included with my registration?

Register online by April 1, 2021 to receive a t-shirt. At bib pick-up, you will receive the t-shirt size you selected online.

What is the refund policy?

All entry fees are non-refundable. This is a charity event; consider it a donation to local and/or education-based charities in lower Fairfield County, who are determined through our WYWL Grants process. View the complete list of grant recipients at wywl.com/grants.

Are there amenities offered to participants before the race?

Yes, a Runner’s Services station will be open before and after the race with water, fruit and crackers. There will also be a separate food station at the Kids Fun Run area.

Are there bathrooms in the race area?

Yes, bathroom facilities are located near the main pavilion, marina, and skate park.

Is there a map of the race course?

Yes, you can find it here.

Are there water stations on the course?

Yes.

Can I transfer my entry to another runner?

This must be arranged before race day. No race day transfers. Email Minute Man Co-Chair at CoMinuteMan@wywl.com to make arrangements or complete the transfer online at Active.com.

Can I participate in the 5K Run/Walk or 10K while my child runs in the Kids Fun Run?

No, unfortunately these events happen simultaneously. Please note, you must be with your children at all times.

Are strollers allowed in the 5K Run/Walk and 10K race?

Yes, however, strollers must line up behind the runners at the back of the pack.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not allowed at the beach. However, service dogs are always welcome.
