Minute Man Race

April 27, 2025 | Westport CT

The WYWL will host its 46th annual Minute Man Race on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Compo Beach.

The main event features a certified USA Track and Field 10k Run, 5k Run, and 5k Walk, while the Kids Fun Run includes a 50-yard dash, 100-yard dash, and ½ mile run, with a fun Kids Zone available during and after the races. Net proceeds support our Grants Program, benefiting charities throughout Fairfield County.

Awards: Kids Fun Runs
Medals for age 8 and up – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place boy and girl. All other children participating will receive a ribbon.

8:10 – 8:25AM – Warm Ups
8:30AM – 50 yard dash (ages 3-5, boys/girls)
8:35AM – 100 yard dash (ages 6-7, boys/girls)
8:45AM – 1/2 mile race (age 8, boys/girls)
8:55AM – 1/2 mile race (age 9, boys/girls)
9:05AM – 1 mile race (age 10, boys/girls)
9:15AM – 1 mile race (age 11, boys/girls)
9:25AM – 1 mile race (age 12, boys/girls)

Please note: Participants with strollers must line up at the back of the pack for safety reasons.

Please note: No dogs allowed.

Parking
Parking is located in a designated area within the gates at Compo Beach or the adjacent Soundview dirt parking lot. No beach sticker needed; parking is free.
